Bio

My name is Sara Martinsen.

I am a Danish designer based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
I work in the cross field between art and design creating edition pieces from bio based materials.

I believe in the beauty of natural responsible materials, in craft and in the power of a strong visual story. I arrange materials so they become inspiring and we can experience each of their specific characteristics.

It is becoming increasingly difficult to maintain a strong material knowledge due to the long distance between manufacturers and consumers.

With my work I want people to experience and investigate the materials up close and activate our senses. This is relevant when good intentions have to be transformed into responsible behavior.
